Therefore, it is important for us that you enjoy your work and feel that your efforts are valuable to society. We believe that the way to achieve this is for managers and employees to work together to make each other better. The best work is done together, through a holistic view, collaboration, dialogue, and by taking advantage of each other's differences. Here we work together for a long-term and sustainable working life, which in turn leads to a successful and developing municipality.
When we make each other better - we make Sandviken Municipality better!
The Child and Youth Care Investigation Unit is looking for experienced social workers who want to contribute with security and competence in our cases and within the work group. With us, you will have the opportunity to develop in an organization characterized by professionalism, collaboration, and strong social engagement. We are currently conducting extensive implementation work of Signs of Safety and preparing for the Future Social Services – a journey where we build on what works and continuously develop what is lacking.
We have a new management structure to enable close and sustainable leadership, with four engaged and experienced unit managers for child and youth authority – each responsible for reception, investigation, placement, and family homes and family law. In the investigation unit, we work based on psychological safety, learning, ensuring everyone can rely on someone, and that no one stands alone in difficult issues.
This is what we offer you:
- One hour of reflection time per day
- Vacation exchange and annual working hours
- Wellness allowance and health-promoting activities
- Extra vacation days when you turn 40 and 50 years old
- Employee and leisure association Pulsen – for community and fun activities
With us, you will have the opportunity to grow and help others do the same.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
If you start with us, you will work with investigations and interventions for children and young people aged 0-20 years, primarily within youth case management. You will receive support from specialist social workers and unit managers in case handling and decision-making. Collaboration is an obvious part of our work; we solve problems together in the unit and work closely with other units and external actors for the best interests of the children.
As an experienced social worker, you also have the opportunity to become a mentor for colleagues, share your knowledge, and contribute in various ways to a culture where learning and quality go hand in hand. Other special assignments may also become relevant, based on the unit's needs and your personal competencies.
QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for someone who:
- Has a degree in social work
- Has several years of experience in authority work regarding children and young people and is confident in handling all types of cases
- Is well-versed in BBIC and has a genuine commitment to children in vulnerable situations
- Is unpretentious and reflective in your professional role
- Is stable with a good ability to collaborate with clients and colleagues
- Is structured with a good ability to express yourself in speech and writing
- Has a B driver's license
As Signs of Safety is a significant part of our work, we hope you have experience with – and a positive attitude towards – involving children's and young people's networks. We also place great importance on your personal suitability, especially your willingness and ability to contribute to a safe, permissive, and learning work environment.
OTHER
We may apply ongoing selection for interviews.
