Sandviken Municipality's youth residence is aimed at young people who, for various reasons, cannot live at home with their parents. The operation consists of a HVB part with eight places for young people aged 13 to 20 years and a supported living part with eight places for young people aged 16 to 20 years. Our mission is to contribute to high-quality home solutions by providing emergency, investigation, and treatment placements in the social services' youth cases.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

We are a youth residence that is passionate about creating a safe and supportive environment for young people. With Signs of Safety at the center, we work to strengthen the young people's own resources and create sustainable solutions together with them.

Your role at the youth residence is to:

• plan and implement treatment work together with the placed young people based on care and implementation plans.
• guide and support young people in a tailored way in their daily activities.
• be responsible for the practical work with the young people and together with your colleagues ensure that the investigation or treatment planning is implemented.
• work according to the methods of MI, trauma-informed care, and low-arousal approach.
• collaborate internally and externally and participate in the development of working methods together with the manager and colleagues.

You will be part of a team with a specialist social worker and group leader with investigation responsibility who together deliver investigations based on assignments from social workers. The work involves contacts with guardians and other parts of the young person's private and professional network. You assist the group leader in collecting the information needed for the investigation. The time spent with the young people during their placement has clear goals and purposes, which means that you perform structured activities during work shifts with the young people individually or in groups. As a contact person, you will have a special responsibility for a couple of the young people living at the residence. Ongoing documentation for follow-up of placements is also included. An important part of the assignment is to motivate young people to engage and participate in activities with you and other adults at the residence.

The position involves evening, weekend, and on-call duties.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who:

• is passionate about working with young people and their families.
• has relevant higher education (at least a two-year post-secondary education) in social work or equivalent.
• has a very good ability to build trust and collaborate with young people and their networks.
• is driven, responsible, and has a holistic perspective.
• has a positive and solution-oriented approach.

A driver's license (B) is required.

Probationary employment may be applicable.
