Social Worker at the Authority Office

The Authority Office consists of authority operations regarding children and youth, the elderly, adult services, LSS, and authority services.

At authority services, caseworkers and administrators work together. The adult services and LSS form a workgroup divided into two teams. There are ten employees in the adult services team and nine in the LSS team. Each team has a team leader. The workplace is located in central Hudiksvall, close to shops, restaurants, and public transport. Due to the introduction of a new social services act, the Social and Care Administration is currently undergoing an organizational change. The purpose of the change is to organize ourselves more target group-oriented. A decision regarding the new organization will be made in June 2025, and the new organization should be in place by January 1, 2026. There will not be any major changes for the adult services and LSS.

Job Responsibilities

We are now looking for a social worker for our team that works with adults who have substance abuse issues and individuals who are victims of violence. As a social worker, you have a supervisory responsibility, which means you investigate, make decisions, and follow up on interventions. You work based on applicable legislation SoL, LVM, and LVU. The tasks are varied, and you also work in a motivational and outreach manner. Practical tasks are included. The work requires good collaboration with other units within the administration and with external actors.

Your Profile

Degree in social work or equivalent education. You have a good ability to express yourself in speech and writing. You take responsibility for your tasks, plan, structure, and drive your cases forward. You work towards goals and focus on results. Furthermore, you contribute to the development of the work and have a holistic perspective. You work well with other people and communicate clearly. You have good collaboration skills and enjoy cooperating with other professionals, always with the individual in focus. We continuously work on developing the operations, and the person we are looking for should be involved and contribute to development and feel engaged in the change process. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability. A driver's license with driving experience is required.
