Social Worker for Psychosocial Team

We work with assessing and treating mild to moderate mental health issues for children and adolescents aged 0-17 years. We also have the task of promoting physical, mental, social, and sexual development and health for young people aged 13-23 years.

Our psychosocial team consists of social workers and psychologists. Seven employees are stationed in Hudiksvall and two in Ljusdal, but clinical work can occur in both locations. If necessary, we assist each other across the entire age range, but right now we are looking for someone interested in focusing a bit more on adolescents.

The broad assignment and target group make the work both stimulating and challenging, says Amanda Lindroth, licensed psychologist at Family Health Northern Hälsingland.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As a social worker with us, you will have varied and meaningful tasks where you work both independently and in collaboration with healthcare partners and other stakeholders.

• early interventions to prevent mental health issues in children, adolescents, and expectant parents
• treatment of mild to moderate mental health issues at the individual and family level
• psychopedagogical group treatment for children, adolescents, and parents.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who can work independently but also has a good ability to collaborate with others. We value open and responsive communication within the team to be part of each other's learning. You take responsibility for your tasks and structure how you approach and drive your patient work forward. The ability to adapt how you convey messages based on the recipient is important in your work with patients/family members. Being able to focus on the right things and tackle challenges in the work with calmness and stability are seen as important qualities.

In the role of social worker, you should have:

• a recognized degree in social work
• experience in psychosocial treatment work.

We consider it an advantage if you are a licensed healthcare social worker. It is also desirable that you have basic psychotherapy training with a focus on CBT, experience working with children and adolescents, and experience in teamwork and collaboration with healthcare partners. Personal suitability is highly valued.
