We are looking for an experienced social worker for a consulting assignment within the authority's operations regarding children and youth. The assignment involves overall responsibility in the case management process and requires solid experience, confidence in the role, and a genuine commitment to children in vulnerable situations.

About the assignment

The investigation unit is responsible for authority operations concerning children, adolescents, and their families. The assignment includes investigating and granting support for children and youth aged 0–20 years and following up on outpatient care measures. The work is based on BBIC and Signs of Safety, in close collaboration with children, guardians, and networks.

As a consultant, you will manage the entire case management process, including cases under LVU, and make professional assessments of the needs of children and youth. You will receive support from specialist social workers and the unit manager in case handling and decision-making, and work in collaboration with other units and external actors to create comprehensive solutions for children and families.

Qualifications

• Degree in social work
• At least five years of documented experience in authority operations concerning children and youth after graduation
• Good knowledge and independence in the case management process according to SoL and LVU
• Very good knowledge of BBIC
• Experience working with Signs of Safety and a positive attitude towards involving children and youth's networks
• Familiarity with working in the systems Procapita and Lifecare
• Good ability to express oneself in Swedish, both orally and in writing

Scope and period

• Scope: 100 percent
• Period: Immediate – February 28, 2026
• Possibility of extension: Until August 31, 2026
• Working hours: Weekdays, office hours
• Location: On-site at the organization, some remote work is approved
• Flexible for assignments in other locations
