About the Operation

Our short-term accommodation is a safe and stimulating environment for children and youth who have been granted assistance under LSS. Here, they have the opportunity to develop, grow, and experience meaningful leisure time, while their relatives receive relief.

We are looking for an engaged and present support educator who, together with colleagues and the unit manager, wants to work to create the best possible stay for children and youth. With us, the individual's needs, security, and participation are always at the center.

Job Responsibilities

As a support educator, you will work both pedagogically and supportively in the daily lives of the children and youth. Your task is to create structure, security, and development during their stay at the short-term accommodation.

You will, among other things:

• Work based on implementation plans and ensure that the interventions follow the intentions of LSS.
• Plan and carry out pedagogical activities tailored to the individual's needs, development, and interests.
• Provide guidance, support, and direction to other staff.
• Create, follow up, and develop routines and pedagogical methods.
• Be responsible for social documentation according to current guidelines.
• Collaborate with guardians, schools, healthcare, and other relevant actors.
• Contribute to ensuring that every child and youth has a safe, fun, and meaningful stay.

Qualifications

Higher vocational education as a support educator.

University education deemed suitable by the employer.

For the title of support educator, a post-secondary specialization in the disability area is required, covering at least 200 YH points or 60 university credits, or a combination that corresponds to at least two semesters of full-time studies. The education should have a clear focus on the disability area in its entirety.

At least one year of experience working with children and youth with disabilities – preferably within LSS and in a pedagogical role.

The ability to create structure, security, and a positive approach.

Comfortable guiding and inspiring colleagues.

Clear child focus, high empathetic ability, and a professional demeanor.

Enjoy collaborating, communicating, and finding solutions even in challenging situations.

Good Swedish language skills in speech and writing.

Possess a B driver's license.

We will place great emphasis on personal suitability.

Conditions

Permanent employment with start date according to agreement.

Probationary employment may apply.

Scheduled work during days, evenings, weekends, and on-call.
