Sandviken Municipality has been working since September 2022 with the prevention system, Communities That Care (CTC). CTC is a long-term effort aimed at providing children and young people with good growing conditions. In Sandviken, we refer to this initiative as SPIRA. The starting point for CTC is that there are factors in society that affect the upbringing conditions of children and young people. The work involves mobilizing the positive forces in society and eliminating risk factors, while adding protective factors in the lives of children and young people.

You will belong to the Spira unit, which is part of the Municipal Executive Office, where you will meet friendly and positive colleagues. You will have access to offices at Ferrum Arena and the City Hall and will be responsible for the local development of area 2.

The Municipal Executive Administration works with overarching strategic issues with employees who have a high level of expertise in several different areas. The administration is characterized by professionalism and helpfulness and works development-oriented with many different assignments that can involve everything that a municipality has within its area of responsibility. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

The overall purpose is to work together with others to strengthen the promoting and preventive efforts in area 2. You will lead a cross-sectoral area team for Area 2, which includes various actors. You are responsible for driving the work with programs, engagement, and analysis groups forward. The work also includes, together with other actors, driving the newly created Jernvallen Council, which aims to strengthen the promoting work in the area.

You create structure so that deadlines, communication, documentation, and report writing function according to the existing routines. You are responsible for establishing area profiles, action plans, and training initiatives.

You are operational in the local area and build good relationships and enable collaboration between involved actors such as schools and associations. The work focuses on the prioritized risk and protective factors, with a strong emphasis on enabling more children and young people to participate in leisure activities.

You are responsible for training organizations in the Social Development Strategy, which aims to create a positive development for children and young people, where the sense of community and belonging is central. Other training may also be relevant, such as parent education. A driver's license is a requirement, and travel within Sandviken Municipality is common, and evening work may occur occasionally.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who has a university degree in one of the following areas: behavioral science, sports, sociology, social work, pedagogy, or education that the employer deems equivalent. You have a very good ability to express yourself in Swedish, both orally and in writing. You also have a good ability to read, understand, and speak English. You are used to meeting and engaging people with different backgrounds at both operational and management levels. You have experience leading groups and collaborative efforts.

Personal qualities

You have a very good ability to meet and engage people with different backgrounds and circumstances. You have a genuine commitment to society and a very good ability to be creative and handle situations where there are no given answers (manage uncertainties).

You are relationship-building, attentive in interactions with others, and have an easy time building networks and enjoy working independently. You have experience meeting children and young people in various contexts. You are action-oriented with a good ability to lead others in the work, move processes forward, and achieve goals. You have a coaching approach and get people to take on tasks. It is an advantage if you are well acquainted with Sandviken Municipality's organization and have good knowledge of Sandviken's culture and leisure offerings. It is also an advantage if you have experience with both broad and elite sports associations.
