The area of child, youth, and family health is a cross-county operation that today consists of over 200 employees and includes services at midwifery clinics, child health centers, youth clinics, first line youth services, family centers, child and family support, and the speech therapy unit.

Together, we provide health care to the target groups of the operation with a focus on preventive health care.

With us, a team of solution-focused practitioners with various competencies and experiences work; psychologists, social workers, and administrative staff. First line youth services is a collaboration between Region Värmland and the municipalities in the county and consists of several outpatient clinics at the primary care level in the county. First line youth services receive children and young people aged 6 to 20 with mild to moderate mental health issues, as well as their relatives.

We are now expanding our workforce and are looking for a social worker who wants to work in First line youth services.

Your Responsibilities

Our main task is to provide interventions to children and young people aged 6-20 with mild to moderate mental health issues, where the interventions are based on a holistic view of the young person's life situation. As a social worker, you will work with assessments, psychoeducation, and treatment in groups or individually. Part of your role as a social worker is to contribute the psychosocial perspective to the team.

In addition to individual interventions, you will actively work to enable cohesive support in cases where schools, social services, and First line youth services need to collaborate. The work is carried out independently, and supervision is offered as support in the work.

Your Knowledge and Competencies

You are a trained social worker, and step-1 training is an advantage. In addition to education, we wish for you to have experience in treatment work with children, young people, and parenting. You may also have experience working in health care in an independent position and be accustomed to analyzing, reflecting, documenting, and conveying assessments of mental health issues in speech and writing.

The work requires the ability to assess the needs of children and young people and, based on that, plan and initiate support and treatment. To succeed in the role, we see that you have well-developed personal maturity, work in a structured manner, and have an easy time creating trusting relationships. Great importance is placed on collaboration skills, but also the ability to take independent responsibility in the work. We want you to contribute to a joyful work environment and take responsibility for both patients and colleagues as well as the operation. Additionally, you are solution-focused and have an open approach to the development and improvement of the operation.
