The Swedish Prison and Probation Service is expanding – we are building new facilities, renovating, and adding to our workforce. Our primary goal is to reduce recidivism – to break the vicious cycle. If we succeed, society will be safer and more secure for everyone. We are the authority responsible for prisons, probation, remand, and client transport.

The Norrköping area includes the Skenäs prison and the Norrköping remand center. We are expanding and currently planning for the future of corrections, and we are looking for individuals who want to grow with us!

The Skenäs prison will be upgraded from security class 3 to security class 2 in 2026, which means a significant focus on our overall security work. We will also soon open a care department that includes security, health, and medical care. The prison is located on Vikbolandet, about 30 kilometers outside Norrköping, and there is no public transport connection. The remand center is located in central Norrköping.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Your main responsibilities will be to support the prison director and our first-line managers in their roles to achieve the organization's goals, promote a good work environment, and enable present leadership.

Your mission will be to work with the managers to ensure quality and develop local administrative processes, creating conditions for our employees to perform well, feel comfortable, and grow in their workplace.

The work is close to operations, and you will collaborate daily with managers and employees in both operational and strategic areas, where the role is cohesive for annual processes such as budgeting and investment processes. You will also work for good cooperation with union representatives and the safety organization.

The tasks have a wide scope where you will contribute to developing, ensuring quality, and providing support in areas such as systematic work environment management. You will have a coordinating role in various areas. You will assist in the preparation and planning of negotiations, meetings, training, etc. You will produce decision-making materials and other documents for management group meetings, safety committees, and negotiations. You will take minutes at various forums such as union negotiations, RoK, etc.

This position is new. The needs of the organization will affect the more detailed distribution of tasks within the area of responsibility.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who enjoys structure. You are meticulous and place great importance on ensuring the quality of your work. You plan, organize, and prioritize your work effectively. You set and adhere to deadlines, remind, and follow up. You also take initiative, start activities, and achieve results. The role also requires flexibility and the ability to adapt to changing circumstances. You collaborate well with others, are service-oriented, and possess good integrity and personal maturity.

It is important to us that you share the Swedish Prison and Probation Service's fundamental values of a humane view of people, respect for the individual, and belief in the human capacity and willingness to develop. You also have an understanding of how background, culture, and group affiliation affect oneself and others. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.

We are looking for someone who has:

• Completed upper secondary education in the form of a diploma or certificate.
• Several years of work experience deemed relevant to the position by the Swedish Prison and Probation Service.
• Experience in independently driving, leading, and maintaining processes with multiple stakeholders.
• Experience in record-keeping and archive management.
• Experience in administrative work.
• Good IT skills.
• Ability to express yourself well in spoken and written Swedish.
• Driver's license (B).

It is advantageous if you also have:

• Experience in administrative work from the Swedish Prison and Probation Service.
• Experience in systematic work environment management.
• Good knowledge of the Office suite.
