Responsibilities and tasks

VPK is on an exciting journey forward where we have now developed our HRM process into a digitally tailored journey. In the role of payroll specialist, you will work to continue this development journey with continuous improvements in your area.

In the role of payroll specialist, you will be responsible for the payroll processes and the development of improvement work. Together with the HR Manager, you will drive improvement work between the payroll and HR areas in our HRM system - FLEX HRM.

You will be a central part of the payroll process – from reporting to timely payment.

You will work both independently and in close collaboration with other colleagues, as well as external contacts.

In your daily work, you will work with:

• Managing payroll, time reports, absences, travel expenses, pension management, and benefits, etc.
• Managing the sick leave process with Avonova
• Ensuring that payroll payments are correct and timely
• Checking and quality assuring data in the time reporting system
• Supporting the organization in questions about payroll, taxes, and time reporting
• Preparing reports for HR processes
• Contributing to improving routines and processes for a smoother everyday life
• As well as registering reports and documentation to various authorities and external parties

Your background

We prefer that you are a self-sufficient and proactive payroll specialist with good knowledge of payroll management, preferably from the FLEX HRM system or equivalent. You have good coaching skills that develop the company. We would like you to have worked as part of an HR department where you have contributed with good payroll knowledge. You need to have a good understanding of labor law, pension management, tax regulations, and other laws and guidelines within the payroll area.

Qualifications and experience

• As a person, you enjoy working independently and are meticulous. You have high integrity.
• If you have experience in payroll management in a manufacturing environment where both salaried and hourly employees work, we see it as an advantage.
• A requirement is that you have worked for at least 5 years with payroll management and payroll processes.
• You have at least completed high school education with a focus on economics or administration. If you have further trained as a payroll specialist and have education in labor law, we see this as an advantage.
