We are now looking for an economist for the Department of Behavioral Sciences and Learning (IBL).

About the job

As an economist, you will be part of the department's financial function along with controllers, economists, and financial administrators. The group's mission is to work as a supportive and advisory function in financial matters for department heads, research leaders, project managers, and the department's management. The financial function is responsible for budget and closing work at both the department and divisional levels. A key and prioritized task is operational follow-up through qualified forecasts and analyses. Additionally, the function is responsible for reviewing and establishing agreements related to research assignments and project collaborations. This means you will support the operations in contractual matters, ensure clear financial terms, and monitor compliance with the agreements throughout the projects. The department operates in both Norrköping and Linköping.

About you

The work requires an independent approach where you drive, support, and advise the relevant managers and researchers. Therefore, we are looking for someone who is clear, has good collaboration skills, and a knack for building good relationships. Additionally, you are structured and have the ability to plan, organize, and prioritize your work in a quality-conscious and efficient manner.

We want you to have:

• At least three years of academic education in economics or another education deemed equivalent by the employer.
• Good knowledge and experience working in Excel.
• Good proficiency in Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
• Strong ability to search for relevant information in IT systems and then structure, compile, analyze, and present it in a systematic and pedagogical manner.

It is an advantage if you have:

• Experience in qualified economic work.
• Experience in economic work from a university or college.
