About the role
We are now looking for a technically driven and engaged Production Planner with quality responsibility for Atlas Industrial Print in Motala. Atlas specializes in industrial screen printing and production solutions for customers in several advanced industries.
The role is broad and central in the organization, where you will be the link between production, sales, quality, purchasing, and customers. You will work both operationally and administratively – with technical production documentation, calculations, post-calculations, quality monitoring, and improvement work.
This is a role for you who thrive in a technical and practically oriented production environment and who preferably has experience from smaller or medium-sized industrial companies. You will be offered a key position in the business where you have great opportunities to influence work methods and processes.
Main responsibilities
- Production planning
- Develop and update production documentation: work instructions, print orders, stencil lists, and material specifications.
- Interpret technical customer documentation (CAD drawings, DWG, PDF, digital originals).
- Select and define the right printing methods, tools, and parameters (mesh, screen, ink type, squeegee, drying method, etc.).
- Ensure stable processes and correct settings based on materials and volumes (plastic, metal, glass, foils, painted surfaces).
- Operational purchasing for general production as well as for specific projects.
- Calculating and post-calculating
- Perform manufacturing calculations for both series and prototypes.
- Assess material usage, ink, stencils, time consumption, and consumption.
- Support sales in the quotation process with technical assessments, risks, and cost drivers.
- Perform post-calculations and analyze the outcome against the plan.
- Operational quality work
- Manage quality issues, deviations, and complaints – drive the process and coordinate involved parties.
- Conduct root cause analyses and suggest corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
- Perform tests such as adhesion, color measurement, abrasion resistance, and curing.
- Ensure documentation, traceability, and fulfillment of customer requirements and standards.
- Provide administrative support to production and be an active driving force in improvement work.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
We are looking for someone who is: structured, meticulous, and quality-conscious, with a natural sense of order, traceability, and process understanding. You have a technical interest and appreciate understanding the details behind production.
You are solution-oriented, confident in making decisions, and used to driving matters forward. The role involves close contact with several functions, which requires good communication skills and a humble yet clear working approach.
You enjoy alternating between administrative analytical work and operational presence in production. If you have experience from similar roles, it is an advantage, but even those with an industrial background and technical drive are welcome to apply.
Requested skills & experience:
- Experience in industrial production (screen printing or similar precise manufacturing processes is a strong plus).
- Good technical understanding and ability to interpret technical drawings (CAD/CAM).
- Experience in production planning, calculations, or production scheduling.
- Experience in quality work and deviation management.
- Very good computer skills – especially in Excel.
- Experience working in ERP/MPS systems (Pyramid/Monitor is strongly meritorious).
- Swedish in speech and writing and basic English.
Meritorious
- Experience in industrial screen printing and knowledge of color, material, and color management.
