The Swedish Prison and Probation Service is expanding – we are building new, renovating, and adding on, and we are now looking for more employees. Our most important goal is to reduce recidivism – to break the vicious cycle. If we succeed, society will be safer and more secure for everyone. We are the authority responsible for prisons, probation, remand facilities, and client transport.

The position is located within the Physical Security Section, which belongs to the Security Department. The section is responsible for setting requirements for building security in connection with new construction and renovations. The section's mission also includes working in project groups during new establishments and renovations.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

The Swedish Prison and Probation Service faces a significant challenge in meeting the increased demand for more places. This presents you with challenges in your work, but also the opportunity to influence, develop, and be part of this expansive phase that the authority is in.

In your role as an expert, you will manage new construction and renovation projects within the authority, where your role is to make assessments and guide other employees related to risk management to ensure a safe operation. You will represent the Security Department in various project groups, collaborate with similar functions in other departments, convene and lead internal meetings with the department's relevant experts. You may also be involved in assessments regarding analyses for the operational sites affected by new construction and renovations. You have colleagues with the same mission and function who support you, but you will also have close collaboration with other colleagues within the section and the project managers from the property department. In this role, it is important to have a broad overall perspective and to communicate requirements pedagogically and solution-oriented in order to solve the task.

You drive your work forward with engagement and initiative, without the need for constant supervision. At the same time, you are flexible and adaptable, with the ability to quickly adjust when conditions change and handle multiple tasks simultaneously. Furthermore, you are goal- and results-oriented and motivated to achieve set goals with high quality.

We are looking for someone who has:

• High school education
• Broad experience of the Swedish Prison and Probation Service and its operations or equivalent
• Good computer skills
• Knowledge of confidentiality issues
• Good ability to express yourself verbally and in writing in Swedish
• Driver's license category B

It is advantageous if you have:

• The Swedish Prison and Probation Service's basic training
• Experience of the Swedish Prison and Probation Service's local supply
• Experience of security work within or outside the Swedish Prison and Probation Service
