Description
We are looking for a passionate and dedicated teacher for grades 7-9 who is eager to inspire and motivate our students at Akutskolan Elevator.
Akutskola Elevator is a temporary placement for students who, according to Chapter 5 of the Education Act, have disrupted safety and study peace. It is the student's principal who decides to temporarily place the student at Akutskolan. The institution accepts students in grades 6-9. A student can be placed at Elevator for a maximum of 20 days. During the student's placement, teaching in theoretical subjects is provided based on planning from the student's regular school. The working method at Elevator is based on clarity and predictability, with a strong focus on safety and a conducive learning environment. The student's studies are at the center, along with increasing the student's understanding of their school situation to ensure a smooth transition back to their regular school.
Elevator is part of the unit for specially coordinated efforts (SSI), led by a unit manager who is also responsible for hospital education, hearing pedagogues, teaching in sheltered accommodations, and Health Adventure.
In the role of teacher at Elevator, you will have the opportunity to create a safe and stimulating learning environment for students for a maximum of 4 weeks. You should be a stable and secure adult who can take responsibility for both teaching and the student's well-being. Through an approach characterized by curiosity, empathy, and respect, you need to quickly build relationships with students during the limited time at Elevator.

Responsibilities
As a teacher at Elevator, you will play a crucial role in our students' development and learning. You will have the opportunity to create an inspiring and safe learning environment where every student can grow and develop. Your work will be varied, and you will have the chance to use creative and innovative pedagogical methods. Your responsibilities include:
- Based on the home school's planning for the student, you will conduct teaching that stimulates students' curiosity and engagement.
- Support students' individual learning processes and adapt teaching according to their needs.
- Participate in team teaching and collaborate with colleagues to develop teaching both within Elevator and with the student's teachers at the home school.
- Compile and provide feedback to the home school, student, and guardians regarding the student's schooling at Elevator.
- You will have daily contact with the guardians of your mentees.
We are looking for someone who is stable and secure in their role as a teacher. You should have experience working with students in challenging situations and be well acquainted with a low-affect approach. You need to have experience working with students with extensive support needs and be creative in the adaptations that can be successful for each student. Qualifications
