About the workplace

Are you ready for a bigger challenge?

The Swedish Police Authority is Sweden's largest authority with approximately 40,000 employees across the country. With us, you have the opportunity to contribute to the Police's mission - to increase safety and reduce crime in society.

We are now looking for a business developer for the administrative case unit in Stockholm. With us, you will develop alongside engaged and friendly colleagues and gain valuable experience. At the same time, you will contribute to increasing safety and reducing crime in Sweden.

Service Department:

The Service Department is one of the divisions of the Police Authority. The department consists of three units: the administrative case unit, the information management unit, and the national contact unit, along with a departmental secretariat. The department is tasked with strengthening service and accessibility in meetings with citizens.

Administrative Case Unit:

The Administrative Case Unit at the Service Department is responsible for governance, development, processing, and follow-up of the Police Authority's activities regarding weapon cases and appeals against parking tickets. The unit also has a national responsibility for the development of the Police Authority's activities regarding summons notifications, supervision of dogs and cats, animal welfare, lost property, maritime finds, and fencing of mine shafts. The unit is responsible for national contacts with other authorities within its areas of operation.

Job Responsibilities

At the FVE, we work to provide legally secure and timely decisions within the types of cases handled by the organization and contribute to strengthening Sweden's overall safety and security. We do this by creating efficient routines and processes and collaborating with internal and external actors. Your work will practically involve:

  • Developing and updating governing documents and routines regarding working methods within the process
  • Defining requirements for IT development and training
  • Following up on how processing is carried out in the processes
  • Mapping and describing processes

As a business developer at FVE, you will have significant responsibility. You must always maintain a national perspective and work for the coordination and leadership of development within the administrative case area for the entire Police Authority. The work often involves a coordinating role where you may lead key activities. You will ensure that efficiencies can be achieved, that boundaries against other areas of responsibility are established, and that we continuously strive towards the goals we have set. Together with your colleagues, you will develop the organization into something better than it was before.

Qualifications

  • Relevant academic education in law, political science, public administration, or equivalent, or other education combined with relevant experience deemed equivalent by the employer
  • Relevant experience from working independently, for example, by leading projects/assignments
  • Excellent ability to express yourself verbally and in writing in Swedish

It is meritorious if you also have:

  • Experience in business development and/or process development
  • Experience working in an authority, preferably in a similar role
  • Experience in planning and leading change work
  • Experience working along the entire chain from idea/pre-study to implementation and management
  • Experience coaching and training employees in new working methods or techniques

Personal qualities

In the role of business developer, you need to be meticulous and structured with good analytical skills, but at the same time understand that speed is a quality factor. You have excellent social skills, which include a good self-esteem to collaborate and easily build good relationships within and outside the Police Authority, as well as the ability to give and receive feedback.
