Do you want to create clear and user-friendly technical information that makes complex technology understandable? We are looking for an experienced technical communicator who wants to contribute their expertise to an exciting assignment in the industry. You will be a key person in the work of developing documentation that makes a difference for operators, service technicians, and users.

About the role

As a senior technical communicator, you will:

  • Create, update, and ensure the quality of technical documentation such as operator instructions, manuals, maintenance and repair instructions, and software documentation.
  • Structure information in relevant systems and templates (e.g., CMS/PLM) and work according to established standards such as S1000D, iSpec 2200, and Simplified Technical English (STE).
  • Collect data through interviews, photography, and review of technical material.
  • Ensure that the documentation complies with applicable standards, guidelines, and customer requirements.
  • Collaborate with engineers, developers, and product specialists to ensure correct technical content.
  • Contribute to improvements in structure, language, and usability of the documentation.

Your profile

We are looking for someone who has:

  • 8–10 years of experience as a technical communicator or technical writer with a focus on industrial technology.
  • Relevant education in technical communication or equivalent technical background.
  • Excellent skills in Swedish and technical English, both spoken and written.
  • Experience with XML, SGML, and CMS environments (e.g., Uptime 4) as well as preferably CCMS tools.
  • Knowledge of the Machinery Directive and machine safety.
  • The ability to understand and convey complex technical concepts in a simple and clear manner.
  • A strong self-drive, the ability to work independently, and build good relationships.

Meritorious:

  • In-depth knowledge of S1000D and STE.
  • Experience with tools such as Corena, Arbortext, PLM, Catia, and/or DevOps.
  • Experience with Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator.
