The Job

We are now looking for a business developer with primary placement in Karlskrona. The Development Support Department belongs to the base unit for management and operational support. The Development Support Department consists of three business developers, an environmental engineer, an administrative secretary, and a department manager who is also the operations manager.

Development support provides assistance to managers in operational development projects and change work and has an advisory and supportive function in preparing decision-making materials. We work with sustainability and quality and contribute specialized expertise in process orientation and logistics.

Overall, the role is to contribute to the operational development of region service and to work for a holistic view and efficiency in workflows in assignments and projects. The role is an important part of the quality assurance of the region service management system. We have the entire Region Blekinge as our workplace, and longer travels within the service may occur.

The role of business developer supports the line and process organization’s work with development, change, and improvement work by coordinating and leading assigned areas of responsibility and assignments while being advisory. Environmental monitoring is an important part of the work.

You should be able to draft detailed requirements specifications for upcoming procurements and actively participate in implementation work for new solutions and systems. In your work, you will have close contact with the operations. The role requires experience in project management and the ability to work systematically both in teams and individually. An important part of the assignment is also to act as a process leader in establishing a future service center, which involves driving development work, coordinating various stakeholders, and ensuring efficient processes.

Responsibilities and authorities vary and will be specified in assignment directives as needed. Assignments may occur within all areas of region service, such as real estate, food, cleaning, and logistics. It is an exciting and developing role where no day is the same.

About You

We are looking for someone with relevant post-secondary education, other competencies, or experience that the employer deems equivalent.

The corporate language of Region Blekinge is Swedish, which requires that you can express yourself well in both speech and writing. You should have good skills in the Microsoft Office suite.

It is advantageous if you have education or experience in project management, process orientation, procurement, and quality work.

To thrive in the role, you should be motivated to provide qualitative support to managers and employees while working to develop the operations and find it interesting to deal with contracts and public procurement.

You are self-driven, take responsibility for your tasks, structure your approach, and drive the work forward, but you also find it rewarding to work in a group, easily adapt to changing circumstances, and see opportunities in changes while being analytical and meticulous. You have experience working with suppliers, solving complex problems, and the ability to create good, professional relationships and can tailor your message depending on the recipient. It is important that you see the big picture and consider the broader perspective and listen to the organization's various challenges to constructively handle and resolve issues that arise.

Here, resources for regional properties, property technology, cleaning, logistics, meal service, central warehouse, and customer service are gathered. The primary mission of region service is to own, manage, and develop Region Blekinge's properties and leased premises.
