Balans HVB is a residence for young people with sexual behavior problems aged 13-17 years. We have 7 places available.

Vågen HVB is a residence for young people with sexual behavior problems aged 14-18 years. We have 5 places available.

Balansgruppen (Balans HVB & Vågen HVB) works with youth who have sexual behavior problems and/or trauma. We value everyday work as one of the greatest interventions that the youth can receive during a placement. Treatment should be conducted 24 hours a day.

You will work at the residence helping the youth develop and use new skills to manage life outside the residence. The work includes protecting the youth so they can feel safe and motivating them to use the skills they acquire in therapy sessions and groups.

We are committed to maintaining a home-like safe environment for our youth, and we have a high treatment intensity, which means you will be with the youth for most of your working hours.

You enjoy working with and being around youth. You have a stable temperament and a personal desire to develop your skills to do a good job together with the team and the youth. Self-motivation is important as assessments and decisions must be made promptly. Ingenuity and creativity are essential traits for you, as well as the ability to motivate and inspire.

Suitable backgrounds include Social Worker, Social Pedagogue, Leisure Pedagogue, Preschool Teacher, or other educational backgrounds in treatment pedagogy. Training in DBT, CBT, TBA, TMO, as well as previous work with youth who have neuropsychiatric disabilities and/or sexual behavior problems is advantageous.

Personal suitability will be assessed.

The position is temporary employment.

Work is primarily scheduled on weekends but may also occur on weekdays in case of illness or other absence.
