JOB DESCRIPTION

We offer a meaningful and independent role as a school counselor in Hörby Municipality, a position where you will have great trust, freedom to act, and the opportunity to truly make a difference.

As a school counselor in Hörby Municipality, you will be part of a central student health team with a common student health manager. In this role, you will work independently to lead, plan, and develop social and psychosocial work at the individual, group, and organizational levels. You are an important and appreciated resource for the school's working team and contribute your expertise to the work concerning children's and young people's learning, development, and well-being. The assignment includes a supportive and guiding function where you adapt interventions based on the needs of the organization and the students.

You will help drive the school's health-promoting and preventive work against mental health issues, bullying, degrading treatment, discrimination, and harassment. Through your work, you contribute to creating safe learning environments where all students are given the opportunity to achieve educational goals and develop socially and emotionally.

The role also involves close collaboration with other professionals in student health while building and maintaining contacts with organizations and authorities outside the school. QUALIFICATIONS

You are a trained social worker or have another equivalent university/higher education, with good knowledge of behavioral and social sciences related to social work. Training in Repulse, MI, or similar conversation methods is an advantage.

Since the position involves a high degree of independent work, it is important that you have a good ability to take responsibility for planning and structuring your work. At the same time, you find it easy to collaborate with others and create safe, trusting relationships. You meet people with empathy and sensitivity and have the courage to make well-founded decisions when the situation requires it. Great emphasis will therefore be placed on personal suitability.

We would like you to have several years of experience in social work with children and young people. Experience working in schools or student health is an advantage.

You will be part of a team with diverse experiences and different professional backgrounds that work together for the students' learning and health. The mission of student health is to support students in achieving educational goals with a focus on promoting and preventive work. By detecting issues early and contributing to creating environments that promote students' learning, development, and health, we can achieve our goals.

You have a good ability to express yourself in Swedish, both orally and in writing.

A driving license (B) is required.
