Make a Difference. Every Day.
The Psychiatric Intensive Care Unit (PIVA) is a highly specialized unit that caters to patients under psychiatric compulsory care. Here, you will have the opportunity to provide psychiatric care within the broad spectrum of psychiatry. You will encounter everything from affective syndromes, psychoses, personality disorders, neuropsychiatric issues, substance abuse and dependence, anxiety disorders, eating disorders to dissociative states. We admit patients with significant care needs.
We strive for everyone to feel welcome in our unit and always meet our patients with respect. Despite the nature of compulsory care, we want patients and relatives to be involved in their care. We provide our patients with a safe and secure care environment with high staff density. Our employees are engaged, attentive, competent, and proactive.
PIVA has chosen to focus on working according to evidence-based psychiatry. Our workplace meetings therefore constantly include elements of professional development, and we keep ourselves updated on both research and new guidelines. We also discuss clinical evidence and experiences.
