Kooperativet Hand i Hand is a member-driven organization established in 1995 for individuals entitled to assistance. Our members are located in Skåne, Halland, southern Småland, Västra Götaland, Stockholm, and Jämtland. We have offices in Halmstad, Hässleholm, and Malmö. We support our members with everything from applying for hours with Försäkringskassan/the municipality to personnel issues regarding personal assistants. We believe that the work of a personal assistant is one of the most important jobs there is, as it provides an opportunity for another person to live their life like everyone else.

I am a cheerful and positive 37-year-old man living alone in an apartment in Hässleholm. I have encephalopathy and epilepsy and need help with all daily living activities. I can largely communicate what I need help with, but you need to be able to work independently. My biggest interest is video games. Besides video games, I enjoy getting outside and being active. I also have a great interest in animals, although I do not have any pets myself. However, if you have a dog, it is fine to bring it to the workplace as long as everything works well with it.

You who are applying need to be attentive, cheerful, and have a positive attitude towards the work of a personal assistant. You should be proactive and have some creativity for activities we can do together. Given my strong interest in video games, it would be great if you are knowledgeable about video games and technology, but this is not a requirement. Experience as a personal assistant or being a trained nursing assistant is a plus but not a requirement. The most important thing is that you and I have good chemistry.

Right now, I am looking for one or more summer substitutes who can step in when my staff is on leave this summer. You are welcome to be interested in working as a temporary substitute starting immediately when needed. The work shifts are scheduled for 19-24 hours, with 7 hours at night being on-call. We will provide an introduction before you start working with me.
