What does this position involve?

We are now looking for someone who wants to work as a personal assistant for a 2-year-old girl living with her family in Vintrie.

I was born with an unusual disability that means I need help with most things in my daily life, such as monitoring my breathing, epilepsy, feeding, hygiene, and care. I have assistance around the clock but am also connected to ASIH, which makes visits regularly to monitor my development and needs. I have some aids from habilitation that I use both at home and at preschool, such as a standing frame, walking frame, and jumping chair. I am a happy girl with a lot of humor who enjoys cuddling, listening to music, and reading stories. On weekends, you will primarily work at my home and take small walks/outings with me.

As an assistant, you will help me with everything that makes my daily life work, and above all, we will have many wonderful and fun days together!

Who are we looking for?

I am looking for assistants who enjoy working with small children like me. As my assistant, you have a great responsibility for me, and it is important that you are prepared to take that responsibility fully and are calm and secure in yourself. It is a plus if you have worked in assistance or childcare before, but you will learn the job during a safe introduction, so the most important thing is that you are a person who fits well with me and my family. We would like you to:

• be responsible, secure, and calm

• enjoy working with children

• be smoke-free

• be able to walk and swim with the client

• have a good command of the Swedish language

Other information

Employment type: Hourly employment that can lead to a permanent position

Working hours: Fixed work every other weekend from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM, availability during holidays/sickness on other days and times is also desirable

Start date: Immediately or by agreement

We apply individual salary setting and have a collective agreement. Interviews will be conducted on an ongoing basis, and the position may be filled before the application deadline. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.

If you are not a citizen of Sweden, the EU, the EEA, or Switzerland, you must be able to prove that you have a valid work permit or are exempt from the requirement to have a work permit. Employment can only occur after verification of the work permit, which is required under the Aliens Ordinance.
