The Social Services Department in Örkelljunga municipality consists of social services, elderly care, municipal health care, care for people with disabilities, and preventive functions. We are organized into a preventive unit, a regulatory unit, and an execution unit. Our guiding principle is teamwork, utilizing the strength of a small municipality to work closely together in short decision-making paths for an efficient organization and a service-oriented perspective.

JOB DESCRIPTION

We are looking for a social worker to join our investigative group for children and youth in the regulatory unit. The group consists of social workers and a senior social worker who provide support in daily work. You will work with preliminary assessments, investigations, and follow-ups of interventions concerning children and youth, according to SoL and LVU. Having the opportunity to follow the families we work with from start to finish is something that is appreciated by colleagues in the workgroup.

We strive to reach the families we meet in order to understand and assess needs and offer the right intervention. We place great emphasis on strengthening the abilities of children and parents, and on motivating them to seek help and support. The social services are facing an exciting transition based on new social services legislation, which opens up opportunities to think and try new ways of working and to identify those in need of support early.

Working with children and youth is a role that constantly challenges and develops, and we have external supervision, team meetings with the workgroup every week, as well as individual case reviews and close daily support.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who wants to be part of providing children and youth and their families with support, help, and protection based on current legislation. You should want to be part of a workgroup where we support and help each other and have a good working climate, and be part of a workplace where we collaborate in our various roles when needed.

The position requires a degree in social work. Please note that this is a requirement to be eligible for the position. We would prefer that you have experience in regulatory work with children and youth.

Experience with the Lifecare operational system is an advantage.
