Within the social care administration, about 1200 dedicated employees work to provide support and care to those in need in our municipality. The work takes place within elderly care, home care, disability services, social psychiatry, and individual and family care.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Within the Authority Unit for Functional Variation, we work with authority exercise according to the Act on Support and Service for Certain Disabled Persons (LSS) and the Social Services Act (SoL).

We are facing an important development task ahead and are now looking for a new colleague for the unit. We are looking for you, a case officer who has a strong commitment to people in need of support in their daily lives. Your main tasks will be within LSS for both children and adults. The position is placed within the unit, and your tasks may change based on the needs of the organization.

As a case officer, you are the hub; you inform, investigate needs, and follow up on previously granted services.

Our main tasks are to:

  • investigate, assess, and make legally secure decisions according to applicable legislation and other regulations
  • follow up on decisions made
  • be a supportive function for those we serve and their relatives
  • provide service and information
  • collaborate with our providers and with other units both internally and externally

As a case officer, you work according to the National Board of Health and Welfare's investigation model IBIC, Individual's Needs in Center. Documentation takes place in the operational system Life Care.

The profession of case officer involves meetings with people, and therefore high demands are placed on your social skills, responsiveness, and interest in creating good meetings. In the meeting with the individual and their relatives, a dignified approach and a warm interest in working with people are crucial.

Through Backa barnet, we strive to strengthen children's rights and ensure that they receive the support and care they need to develop in the best possible way.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone with a degree in social work or other education that the employer assesses as equivalent.

We value experience in case handling within both SoL and LSS. It is also an advantage if you have previously worked with the LSS target group. Desired is experience in documentation in the operational system Life Care and knowledge of investigating according to the needs-oriented and systematic approach IBIC - Individual's Needs in Center.

To succeed in the role of case officer, you need to have good collaboration skills, be structured, meticulous, and able to independently plan and execute your work, but you must also be a team player. As a person, you are flexible and can adapt when the situation requires it and work under time pressure.

It is important that you have good and clear communication skills in both speech and writing. You need to have a salutogenic and professional approach that shows your respect, responsiveness, and empathy for the people you meet in your work as well as for the user's needs and resources.

As a person, you are curious, engaged, driven, creative, and solution-oriented. You contribute to a good work climate and a healthy work environment together with your colleagues.

The position requires you to hold a B driver's license.
