Description

I am an 8-year-old boy looking for a new assistant for my team.

I have a severe visual impairment, epilepsy, and a significant care need. I am now looking for someone who wants to work evenings from 4:00 PM to 10:00 PM every other weekend and extra as needed. My assistance is active time throughout the day, so it is good if you can be flexible with your working hours for extra shifts.

Job Responsibilities

I need practical personal help with everything in my daily life. Heavier lifting may occur, so it is good if you have some strength in your arms and back. I enjoy swinging, going for walks, crafting, reading books, and listening to music. Due to my visual impairment, you need to constantly talk to me, explain what is happening, what we are going to do, and guide me through all the day's moments. Since I do not communicate verbally but through body language, it is important that you are attentive and focused on how I feel and what I want. My parents will always be there as an extra security for you at the beginning of your employment.

Qualifications

You need to be responsive to my needs, attentive, responsible, and calm and secure in yourself. I have daily epileptic seizures, and I need to feel that you can handle stressful situations. The person I am looking for must have patience and a warm approach. You must enjoy being physically close to me and working relationally. Presence, clear communication, and security are the foundation of my assistance. Being an assistant to me means working with great responsibility but also a lot of closeness, meaning, and the opportunity to make a real difference - every day.

The work with me can be combined with studies or other work.

Conditions

You have experience in personal assistance or care. You are smoke-free.

The employment form is according to the collective agreement Kommunal-Fremia. Applications are processed continuously, and the position will be filled on March 1, 2026.
