Personal Assistant Needed for 18-Year-Old Boy in Klippan

We are currently looking for positive and empathetic personal assistants for an 18-year-old cheerful boy in Klippan. He lives with his family and all pets, so it is important that you are comfortable with both people and animals in a natural way.

As the client has now made a larger decision, we need to hire more assistants to cover all hours. We are looking for part-time individuals, as well as those interested in a casual position as needed. Our client has assistants with him 24/7 except when he is at school. Work shifts will be available in the afternoon, evening, and active night.

Our boy has cerebral palsy, epilepsy, and an intellectual disability. He uses a wheelchair and has aids at home for his mobility. He faces many challenges in life, but thanks to his wonderful assistants, he has the opportunity to lead a rich and fulfilling life with choir singing, outings, and interaction with animals in his environment. He also has his own adapted car to easily go on adventures with you. The more basic tasks involve ADL, communication with alternative communication methods, and training to ensure our client feels as good as possible both physically and mentally.

Role and Experience of the Assistant

We are looking for someone who is positive and active in their assistance. You should be able to maintain positive communication without expecting too many responses. You need to be able to share yourself and having some experience with horses is a plus, as it creates a safe and pleasant environment when our boy is near the animals. You need to be flexible regarding working hours since we in the team adjust staffing if someone is sick or on vacation – we support our client and each other.

Desirable Experiences

• Experience with mobility aids
• Experience with tube feeding
• Fluent in Swedish
• Not allergic to pets
• Having a B driver's license is a plus

Working Hours/Employment Rate

• Working hours are afternoons, evenings, and nights. On weekends and school breaks, daytime hours are also relevant.
• Part-time approximately 50-70%
• The position is also available as a casual position – extra as needed during regular assistants' sick leave and vacation.
• Start immediately or as agreed.
