Kasam Treatment Families offers structured and qualified family-based care for children and adolescents with complex psychosocial issues. Our intervention combines secure placement in a treatment family with coordinated treatment efforts from a multidisciplinary team.

Our mission is to create stability, development, and long-term change for the child and for the entire system surrounding the child.

As our treatment coordinator is returning to another position within the company, we are now seeking a treatment coordinator for the team in Skåne/Blekinge and Kalmar. You will be based in Karlskrona.

The treatment coordinator has overall responsibility for coordinating, quality assuring, and following up on treatment efforts around the child/adolescent. The role is the hub between foster homes, therapists, social services, schools, and healthcare. The assignment includes both performing interventions according to the action plan and following up with the team in its work.

Main Responsibilities

  • Part of the job includes being a child representative for placed children and following up on their placement in foster care
  • Ensure that treatment is conducted according to the agreed care plan, action plan, treatment plan, cooperation agreement, and placement agreement
  • Coordinate efforts between treatment families/foster homes, social services, schools, Kasam BUP, and Kasam outpatient care
  • Follow up on goals, progress, and risk/protective factors
  • Be responsible for documentation and reporting to the client

Job Tasks

  • Child interviews
  • Perform interventions according to the action plan
  • Monthly reporting
  • Establish and follow up on action plans
  • Lead and participate in network meetings, treatment conferences, and follow-ups
  • Ensure that evidence-based methods are used (e.g., DBT, TMO, systems theory, skills training)
  • Coordinate therapists, skills trainers, and foster homes
  • Identify the need for adjustments in interventions or protection levels
  • Act as a contact person for social services
  • Contribute to crisis prevention and stability in placements
  • Conduct crisis analyses, work with deviation management, and evaluate customer indices

Competence Requirements

  • Social worker or other relevant academic education
  • Experience in treatment work with children and youth
  • Good knowledge of BBIC, SoL, LVU, and documentation requirements
  • Ability to work systematically in complex cases
  • Meritorious: further education in DBT, trauma, systems theory
