Night Treatment Assistant at SiS Youth Home Råby
The Swedish National Board of Institutional Care (SiS) is an authority responsible for individually adapted compulsory care for young people with complex psychosocial issues and for adults with substance abuse. SiS also implements closed youth care. We do this in youth homes and homes for adults with substance abuse across the country. With us at SiS, your work life will be an exciting challenge. SiS Youth Home Råby accepts both girls and boys. We have both closed and open placements for closed youth care as well as treatment placements for youth placed under the Care of Young Persons Act (LVU).
Job Description
Do you want to help create the vital difference for vulnerable people? Then the job as a treatment assistant at SiS is a meaningful challenge. The goal of your assignment is to motivate our youth towards new and less risky ways of living. As a night treatment assistant, you ensure that the routines on the department function as they should. You contribute to maintaining safety in the institution according to our routines. Together with other treatment staff, you will help create a safe and developing environment with clear structure and predictability, and you will instill trust and be clear in your adult role. Your tasks as a treatment assistant include documenting the youths' development and performing other tasks assigned to the awake night treatment assistant.

Scheduled working hours with a 89% employment rate including weekend work
As a new employee, you will undergo SiS basic training for 10 weeks. The training combines theory with a guided introduction and prepares you for the treatment role in SiS operations.
Qualifications
Your personal suitability is key to life-changing transformations. To succeed in your work, you have a solid positive view of people. You are motivated to help people in vulnerable life situations and share SiS's core values of being a place for change. Furthermore, you have a good ability to create engagement and participation among our youth. As a person, you are self-assured and easily build relationships with youth as well as with other staff members. You have good communication skills and can maintain your calm even in stressful situations. You collaborate well with others and can handle conflicts constructively.
You should also have:
- A degree from a 2-year post-secondary education at a folk high school or vocational college (KY/YH) with a focus on social/pedagogical treatment work or an equivalent degree from a university
- A valid B driver's license
- Good Swedish language skills in both spoken and written form
It is advantageous if you have:
- Experience working with people in vulnerable life situations, e.g., work in psychiatry or LSS care
- Experience in client-facing roles in the Swedish Prison and Probation Service, e.g., as a correctional officer
- Experience working with our target group (e.g., substance abuse care, youth care, young girls, etc.)

*Exceptions to the requirement for a minimum of a two-year post-secondary education can be made in individual cases if there are special reasons according to Chapter 5, Section 4 of the Social Services Ordinance (2025:468).
Employment:
The position is a permanent employment at 89% and begins with a six-month probation period. Start date according to agreement.
