No matter where in our organization you work or what position you hold, you contribute to creating life-changing transformations.

SiS Youth Home Ljungaskog receives non-compulsory school girls with psychosocial issues, substance abuse, and self-harm problems. The institution is tasked with providing care for girls with special care needs.

You will guide and support your colleagues in their work and ensure that the work is conducted legally and in accordance with applicable governing documents, methods, and set goals. Specifically, this means that you will be responsible for incident management during alarm situations and take necessary actions following an incident. You will communicate noted deficiencies and deviations from routines to the relevant managers. You will establish and update safety assessments and make decisions regarding coercive measures in accordance with the Care of Young Persons (Special Provisions) Act (LVU), the Act on Care of Abusers (LSU), and the Act on Care of Substance Abusers (LVM) in accordance with SiS's work and delegation order.

Qualifications

To thrive and succeed in this role, we believe you are a stable person who remains calm even in stressful situations. You have a willingness and ability to act based on applicable decisions, guidelines, and policies. You have a holistic view and act in the best interest of the organization. Furthermore, you are structured in your work and have a good ability to plan and prioritize effectively. Personal suitability will be of great importance.

You should also have:

  • Relevant higher education such as a social worker, behavioral scientist, or other equivalent higher education, or at least a two-year vocational education (treatment pedagogue) along with experience working within SiS or similar operations.
  • Several years of experience working within SiS or another organization focused on care, treatment, and safety, such as social services, care and treatment, correctional services, or other relevant fields.
  • Good ability to lead, prioritize, and coordinate a workgroup.
  • A driver's license and access to a car.

At SiS, we value good leadership. This means that you as a manager and leader take responsibility for the whole, act as a good role model, drive development, promote good collaboration, and are clear in your communication. Read more about our leadership.
