One of our colleagues is retiring in the spring, and we are looking for someone with drive and extensive experience in social work to become a part of Social Emergency South.

Social Emergency South consists of 9 collaborating municipalities: Vellinge, Trelleborg, Lomma, Svedala, Skurup, Ystad, Sjöbo, Tomelilla, and Simrishamn. The workgroup consists of 4 employees, three of whom work 80% and one 50%, along with a manager. We are all social workers with extensive experience in social work and are looking forward to welcoming a new colleague at 80%.

We work evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays, meaning when the regular social services are closed. We operate on a 4-week rotating schedule and are on duty every other weekend. Working hours include both scheduled time and standby time. Your workplace is in Vellinge with the option to work from home. There are always 2 people on duty/standby during emergency shifts.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As a social worker at Social Emergency South, your main responsibilities will include handling and documenting urgent cases according to the Social Services Act. A wide range of social issues are addressed by Social Emergency, so you need to have a good understanding of the responsibilities of other societal actors to refer appropriately when necessary. You will work independently and have a high level of delegation.

In parallel with emergency work, you will also actively engage in business development to drive Social Emergency South forward. Your tasks will include staying updated on legal changes, new recommendations, and methods relevant to the work of social emergency services.

QUALIFICATIONS

You have a degree in social work with several years of experience in social work and are accustomed to working with authority within various areas of social services. You have extensive experience in authority work concerning children and families as well as harmful use and dependency. You have a good understanding of current legislation and are used to applying it in practical work. You have experience and knowledge of applying coercive legislation when situations require it.

We are looking for someone who is service-oriented and solution-focused. You are attentive and respectful and believe in the citizen's own abilities. You are a calm and stable person who maintains composure and focus even in stressful situations. You see yourself as a fearless and meticulous decision-maker who can analyze in urgent situations and keep a cool head when needed. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability and matching the workgroup, as well as residing within the geographical area to meet the response time requirement for urgent fieldwork.

Experience is required. A valid driver's license and access to a personal vehicle are required.
