This is us

Bokvillan is a home for care and accommodation for families under municipal management and has a close collaboration with social workers. Bokvillan works based on Signs of Safety, BBIC (Children's Needs in Focus), attachment theory, and systems theory, which means that we work with the entire family and its network to utilize and strengthen protection and resources. The majority of interventions require collaboration with preschool/school and student health. Collaboration with other agencies such as BUP, HAB, and LSS is also important.

All families are placed for various reasons and for a limited period. This means that the family continues to go to school, work, and engage in other activities just as they usually do. Bokvillan is undergoing a major change in the design of the premises, and therefore families will have their own apartments connected to common areas for accommodation.

Bokvillan has been around since 2009 and is proud of the qualified work we do for the municipality's citizens. We create opportunities for families to find new family patterns that benefit the family and children's development. Our starting point is that children should not be in round-the-clock care more than necessary and that protective factors should be maintained. We also work with outpatient care and aftercare, something we have further developed in 2025. We are facing a change that requires curiosity, commitment, and innovative thinking. To enable this exciting work, there is a clear established structure and flow for the work. Bokvillan has a well-established structure for flow, planning/matching of cases, documentation, and safety. All staff have at least a two-year post-secondary education and further training. At Bokvillan, we actively work with feedback and targeted treatment work. There is a present and accessible management and close collaboration within the staff group. Our interventions are permeated by knowledge and evidence, and we systematically evaluate our interventions. We work intensively with methods such as ICDP, the Safety Circle, PYC, and Marte Meo. There is a continuous development effort to complement evidence-based methods based on the needs of the municipality's residents, which means we encourage and offer further training.
