JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

The youth centers in Bjuv Municipality need you who are passionate about meeting, challenging, and developing young people. The focus of the position is to staff the youth centers and ensure that all visitors receive a safe and professional reception in line with the goals and mission of the organization. As a youth leader in Bjuv Municipality, you will plan and implement activities for youth aged 12-18 during their leisure time, which primarily involves working in the evenings. The role includes building relationships with young people and taking their views and opinions into account regarding how the organization should develop. The focus of the assignment is always prioritized based on what best creates a meaningful leisure time for the municipality's youth. As a youth leader, you will be part of a team of nine people who together staff the municipality's youth centers. In your role, you will focus on staffing while others focus more on planning and developing different parts of the organization. All work is carried out with the help of a coordinator and in close collaboration with your manager. Challenges that you and your colleagues need to face include attracting more girls to the program, creating meaningful leisure activities in all parts of the municipality, developing routines for youth participation, and helping to elevate the youth leader role to expert status in the municipality's youth issues. To succeed in the assignment, higher demands are placed on equitable treatment, ensuring that routines and rules are followed, as well as communication and collaboration with colleagues.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for a creative and innovative employee who can turn your ideas into practice. You enjoy meeting young people and have the ability to build relationships aimed at strengthening, securing, and developing those who visit the youth center. You collaborate well, have good organizational skills, and look forward to meeting young people based on their needs and circumstances. You prioritize the youth and engage in what interests them.

We prefer that you have post-secondary education with a focus on, for example, youth leadership, social work, or other education that we consider equivalent. Work experience is not a requirement, but it is an advantage if you have worked as a youth leader or in similar youth-related professions. We see that you enjoy taking responsibility, are eager to develop, and are flexible. You need to have a B driver's license and preferably access to a car as distances in the municipality can be large. We would also like you to master one of Bjuv's major languages. Perhaps you are particularly passionate about children's rights or social issues such as integration, equality, norm criticism, and LGBTQ? We want you in Bjuv!

The position is 50%. Invitations for interviews will be ongoing, and a probationary period may be used.
