Job Responsibilities

In collaboration with the Labor Market and Social Services Administration (ASF), we have established a school social team. The team consists of a total of 16 employees, half employed by ASF and half by the School Administration (Grf). We work in teams of two, one from each administration, and our efforts are city-wide.

Our target group is students in grades F–9 with problematic school absenteeism. We offer intensive interventions and work closely with students, guardians, and schools. The school social team is a way for schools and social services to work together on early interventions to increase students' school attendance and promote safety and study peace.

The team has been operational since March/April, starting with five pilot schools. During the autumn, additional schools have been added, and the goal is for all municipal primary schools in Malmö to be able to participate in the initiative by the beginning of 2026.

We are now looking for 1 temporary employee who wants to make a difference. You will be part of a highly competent workgroup with a good work environment, where we develop our work together.

Qualifications

• Educated social worker with at least three years of experience working as a school counselor and experience working with students with psychosocial issues based on the school assignment.
• Experience in the areas of attendance, safety, and study peace.
• Good insight into the school's goals and governing documents, as well as knowledge of practices and guidelines in the field, and applies the Convention on the Rights of the Child in your work.
• Knowledge of other administrations and relevant actors, such as child and adolescent psychiatry (BUP) and social services, with whom you may need to collaborate based on your assignment.
• Good collaboration skills and understanding that good cooperation is a success factor. Builds sustainable relationships with students, guardians, colleagues, and other actors.
• It is important that you are humble, curious, and friendly.

The Central Student Health is a cross-professional unit within the School Administration. The position will be located within the support team section.
