In Östra Göinge municipality, we have a shared staffing unit for the municipality's operations, where our primary task is to staff short-term absences. We are looking for new hourly substitutes for the spring who want to work in preschool and school!
This is how one of our hourly substitutes expresses it:
I started working as a substitute in staffing during my education. It was a good way to be able to work a bit in the field I was training for. I also thought it might be difficult to get a job right after my education without contacts or experience. By working in staffing, I get the chance to show myself, make contacts, and gain experience. I can also work both in preschool as a childcare worker and as a teaching assistant in school. So I get the opportunity to see many different operations, which is very fun and educational.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Are you engaged, playful, have a big childlike spirit, and want to gain work experience? Do you see it as a given that each individual child/youth, based on their circumstances and participation, should be able to develop in a pedagogical environment? Can you work on short notice? Does this sound like you? Then you are welcome to join us!
In preschool, you can work as a childcare worker or childcare assistant. The children you work with are between 1-5 years old, and together with regular staff, you participate in various activities. You are also expected to assist with everyday tasks.
In primary school, you can work as a teaching assistant, where you support the regular teacher in the classroom. In addition, you can work with students who, for example, have reading and writing difficulties or various types of disabilities that need special support. In schools with children aged 6-12, you are also expected to assist in after-school care before school starts or after the school day has ended.
In a special needs school, you assist students in need of special support, and just like in primary school, you can work as a teaching assistant. You can work with a whole class, a group of students, or with a specific student. The work may involve care tasks such as hygiene work when needed or handling various technical aids.
Regardless of which operation you work in, you are responsible for how much you want to work by making yourself available in our booking system Medvind. You are expected to be available for at least 16 hours a month.

QUALIFICATIONS
You who are applying must be at least 18 years old, have a complete high school education or equivalent, preferably in child and leisure. Adult education or vocational training is considered equivalent to high school education and/or relevant work experience after individual assessment. It is meritorious if you:
- are studying in a preschool or teacher program
- are a trained childcare worker, teaching assistant, or student assistant
- have relevant experience working in preschool/school.
You will gain insight into many of the municipality's operations, and this insight needs to be treated with respect and humility. It is also important that you share our values and see your role as a support/helping hand to the municipality's operations in their work to make our customers satisfied and proud.
To thrive with us, you must be able to take your own initiative in your temporary workplace, be attentive, pedagogical, and flexible. You need to master the Swedish language in both speech and writing. You are also accustomed to using a computer as a tool in your work. It is an advantage if you have a driver's license and access to your own car.
To be employed, you must present an extract from the police record, as our operations take place within Östra Göinge municipality's schools and preschools.
Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability. Personal suitability will be decisive in recruitment.
