Your role with us

As a family therapist, you work with psychosocial change work together with children, adolescents, their families, and other important people for the family. The work is carried out through qualified family conversations in various constellations.

The goal of family therapy is to strengthen parental skills and/or interaction skills, solve relational, emotional, and behavioral problems in the whole or parts of the family. Families are helped to use their own competencies and abilities to manage their life puzzle. This takes place in Prisma's premises, in the families' homes, or another location.

Our work is always based on a systemic perspective, which means that we work with the entire network in the conversations. As a family therapist, you manage the assignment you receive from the family and create goals that the family is involved in. Regardless of which technique or method you start from, it is primarily the relationship and communication that we strengthen in family interventions.

Irregular working hours in the evenings and weekends may occur based on planning. You will be given the opportunity for continuous professional development in your work.

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for someone who has a degree in social work or another university/college education that the employer assesses as equivalent and relevant. It is advantageous if you have further education in family therapy. Furthermore, a few years of experience in psychosocial treatment work with children, parents, and families is required.

Documentation and communication are a large part of the work, so it is required that you master the Swedish language in both speech and writing. You also need to have a B driver's license for manual transmission and cycling skills.

Prisma's work requires that you are good at using your own resources within given frameworks for the best results. As a person, you have the ability to work with other people, which means you can listen, be unpretentious, and show respect. You recognize and reward others' efforts.

When applicants are offered employment, those who directly and regularly come into contact with children in their work must show a police record extract according to the provisions in 2013:852 Social Services Act.
