The Role of Personal Assistant

As a personal assistant, you represent Hela Sveriges Assistans. In this role, you will complete an online training about what it is like to work as a personal assistant. Together with the client and your colleagues, you will strive for good quality and adhere to the company's values and policies.

As a personal assistant, you are responsible for accessing information sent out by the head office and, if necessary, seeking information available on the website. For other questions, you will turn to your supervisor or the head office.About Your Role as a Personal Assistant with Me

Hello... Here I am!!

I am a social young man of 25 years. MFF is the team I support in all situations. I currently live in Malmö with my family but will soon move to my own apartment. I am just waiting for a small renovation to be completed. Then it will be time to pack and move out.

In my free time, I enjoy watching football, both live and on TV. My favorite teams are Sweden's best team Malmö FF and Liverpool. I also play computer games, mainly FIFA, and spend a lot of time in front of the computer.

I communicate using the international language Bliss, both analog and digital. I use a lamp attached to my glasses. The lamp points to different symbols on a Bliss board. I need an assistant beside me who can interpret what I want to say. There are other aids available via the computer, such as speech synthesis, etc.

I sit in a wheelchair and drive a power wheelchair. I have a lot of spasticity in my body. The desire to get out into a work environment and contribute with my cheerful demeanor and life experience is stronger than my disability.

I have been to care schools to inform about my situation and various aids, which has been very appreciated.

There is much more to tell, but I will do that in an interview.

What Does the Work Schedule Look Like?

Schedule approximately 85%

Working hours vary between day/evening and weekend shifts.

Requirements

• You as an assistant must be able to master the Swedish language very well in speech.

• You as an assistant must be smoke-free during the work shift.

• 2 years of experience as a personal assistant.

Meritorious

Experience with Bliss board.

Computer proficiency.

Before we offer employment, you must show an unopened extract/digital mailbox from the police's criminal record. We also require a valid Swedish work permit, such as a passport or approved work permit from the Migration Agency.

We train our employees to ensure the quality of personal assistance. All our new employees undergo an online introductory training for personal assistants before their first working opportunity, or no later than one month after starting employment.

As a personal assistant at Hela Sveriges Assistans AB, you are covered by the Almega/Care Companies collective agreement with agreed occupational pension, training, and favorable wellness benefits.
