Here you will work Segevångsgården is a special accommodation with a focus on dementia and somatic illnesses and has 72 places, divided into six departments, all on the ground floor. As a nurse, you will be responsible for care in one of the departments. Segevångsgården has a fantastic park-like garden, and all departments have access to it from the day rooms; additionally, each department has its own outdoor area. One department with 19 residents is for somatically ill individuals, while the other five are for individuals with dementia, totaling 53 residents. At Segevångsgården, we have a stable staff team and engaged management. We work hard to reduce medication use and focus on care interventions. We actively work with the BPSD registry and are undergoing star rating.
Job responsibilities
As a Leva Livet inspirer at Segevångsgården, you will play a key role in creating a daily life filled with meaning, joy, and community for our residents. Your mission is to focus on each individual – their interests, experiences, and dreams – and together find ways to activities and experiences that enhance both well-being and quality of life. This can involve everything from preserving old interests to sparking curiosity for something completely new.
You contribute creativity, engagement, and care, ensuring that everyday life includes both small moments of joy and larger, shared activities. The role also includes leading and supporting activity representatives and contact persons, so that the entire team works together to create joy and variation in the residents' lives.
An important part of the work is also to build networks and collaborate with associations, volunteer organizations, and the municipality, so that our residents have the opportunity to continue being a part of society. Through your pedagogical skills, you also share new knowledge and inspire colleagues to develop the work based on person-centered and research-based methods.
In short, you will be the one who, together with us, makes a difference every day by putting quality of life in focus.
Job description
We are currently looking for a part-time colleague at 70% for a permanent position with a probationary period.
To be considered for the position, you need to:
A university degree in health pedagogy or another relevant higher education, such as occupational therapy/elderly pedagogy.
Fluent knowledge of the Swedish language in speech and writing.
We also consider it an advantage if you have previous experience in elderly care and dementia care.
To thrive in the position, you are engaged and care about your fellow human beings while being good at creating good relationships and being service-oriented. We work in teams as well as independently, so it is important that you are comfortable in that environment.
Before we offer employment, you must provide an unopened extract from the police criminal record. We also request a valid Swedish work permit, such as a passport or approved work permit from the Migration Agency.
