Personal Assistant Needed in Tygelsjö

On behalf of our client in Malmö municipality (Tygelsjö), we are looking for an experienced personal assistant who is attentive to our client's needs and wishes.

We are looking for both those who want to work as substitutes and those who can work during the day and evening.

I am looking for more assistants for my assistant group, which is very important to me. I, who am looking for new stars, am a 15-year-old girl who five years ago was diagnosed with a brain tumor. After much struggle, I had an accident that resulted in additional needs for assistance. I now need help with most aspects of my daily life such as personal hygiene, mobility, training, medication, tube feeding, and my breathing machine, which I use at night because I sometimes stop breathing.

I am slowly getting better and can do much more today than I could a year ago, thanks to my assistants who constantly encourage me to practice everything. I swim a lot because it is easier for me to move in water, and it helps me a lot. I love music, dancing, and riding. Being outdoors is important to me, so I can walk, swing, and get fresh air.

I am a happy, social, and a bit mischievous girl who laughs a lot. I need girls around me who are ready to take great responsibility for my medical needs but also have the childlike spirit and energy to come up with many fun activities with me. I get sad and apathetic when I am bored, so it is important that you help me find things to do and that you talk a lot with me, even if it can be a bit difficult to understand my responses. I want you to be attentive to what I want as I do not communicate much verbally but mostly with body language and feelings, but I learn more and more every day.

You therefore need to be humble and empathetic with a genuine interest in helping me get better. I will be especially happy if you have a great ability to take your own initiatives and think outside the box.

The Position:

We are looking for someone who can work as a substitute and can step in during the absence of regular staff.

The client has significant care needs, but above all, a great need for stimulation to be able to develop. The client has double assistance around the clock, during school hours she has single assistance as a teaching assistant is available during this time.

We want you who apply to:

• Have previous experience working as a personal assistant or experience working with children.
• You must be smoke-free.
• You should be able to swim.
• You should not be allergic to horses.

If you have experience in personal assistance, that is good but not necessary for you to be considered for the position. You will be part of a team that works together with and for the client.

Training will be provided on-site and through Monument Assistans.
