Kooperativet Hand i Hand is a member-driven organization established in 1995 for individuals entitled to assistance. Our members are located in Skåne, Halland, southern Småland, Västra Götaland, Stockholm, and Jämtland. We have offices in Halmstad, Hässleholm, and Malmö. We support our members with everything from applying for hours with Försäkringskassan/the municipality to personnel issues regarding personal assistants. We believe that the work of a personal assistant is one of the most important jobs there is, as it provides an opportunity for another person to live their life like everyone else.

Hello!

I am a cheerful and active 35-year-old woman living in my own apartment in central Hässleholm, and I am now looking for two assistants. I need support with most aspects of daily life and need you to help me so that I can live my life as I wish. I have a mental disability with autistic traits, epilepsy, hearing impairment, and type 2 diabetes. Experience in the above is an advantage but not a requirement.

During the day, I attend a daily activity center, and when I am free, I enjoy doing activities. I really like swimming, and it is an activity I would love to do together with you. Therefore, you need to be comfortable being in water. Walking is also something I enjoy a lot. Since I like to walk shorter distances with support, you need to be in good physical shape as you will assist me with transfers. If I get tired or need to travel longer distances, I use a wheelchair.

For me, clarity and structure are important, and you need to be attentive to me and my needs. I am looking for someone with great patience who has a genuine commitment to working with people and who sees the assignment as long-term.

Experience in personal assistance and a driver's license are required, and I would prefer female applicants.
