EMPLOYMENT OFFICE

The Employment Office has a broad area of responsibility, and fundamental principles for our work are a holistic view and individual participation and responsibility. Our various support services, care services, and treatment services all aim to strengthen the ability for change and independence. We are intensively working on the transition to the new social services act and, of course, expect you to be part of the journey.

The department consists of five units: Children and Family, Support and Treatment, Adults, Reception and Guidance, and Quality and Operational Support. You will belong to the Reception and Guidance unit. In the unit, there is a common reception that facilitates citizens and external actors in finding us through a single point of entry. The unit also has staff working in the areas of harmful use and dependence, homelessness and housing, domestic violence, and integration.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Do you want to make a difference from the first contact? We are now looking for a secure and experienced reception social worker who wants to help develop the social services' work, especially in the transition to the new social services act.

As a reception social worker, you are the face of social services and the first contact for citizens and partners. Your main tasks are to:

• Receive and handle reports and applications regarding children, youth, and adults
• Provide advice, support, and referrals in the initial contact
• Conduct risk assessments, protection assessments, and preliminary assessments
• Take urgent action when necessary
• Participate in consultation teams
• Inform about the social services' mission during school and preschool visits, for example

In your work, you will be supported by a senior social worker who is responsible for work leadership and is available for supervision and decision support.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone with a degree in social work and several years of experience in authority practice within children and youth. You have good knowledge of relevant legislation and are confident in your role as an authority figure. You have experience working with Lifecare and good knowledge of BBIC. A driver's license and experience driving a car are required.

It is an advantage if you have experience working in reception, as well as working with adults in harmful use and dependence, domestic violence, and housing issues. The work requires you to be structured and have a particular interest and good ability in documentation. You have a high level of empathy and show genuine interest and respect for others. At the same time, you are secure, clear, and professional in your authority practice.

We value your contribution to a good team spirit by listening, consulting, supporting, and showing respect for others' opinions and expertise. As the work may involve sudden situations, you need to be flexible and able to adapt quickly.

Great importance will be placed on personal suitability.

You who are considered for the position need to present a valid degree in social work and a criminal record extract.
