The Child and Adolescent Psychiatry (Bup) specialist psychiatry in the Malmö/Trelleborg area has about 140 employees and serves children and adolescents under 18 years of age and their families. We work with the entire city of Malmö as well as the municipalities of Trelleborg, Vellinge, and Svedala. Within our area, there are three general psychiatric clinics, an infant psychiatric clinic, a neuropsychiatric clinic, an eating disorder clinic, and access to inpatient care through an emergency department and two care departments.

The clinic caters to children aged 6-18 years with eating disorders and their families/networks. The unit also includes intermediate care for Eating Disorders. The unit has a total of 15 employees consisting of nurses, psychologists, social workers, family therapists, caregivers, physiotherapists, doctors, medical secretaries, and a unit manager. There are 10 employees working at the Eating Disorder Clinic.

JOB DESCRIPTION

As a social worker, you will work both independently and with other staff members in the unit; the work is both challenging and stimulating. The tasks include assessment, investigation, psychoeducation, and individually tailored treatments for children, adolescents, and their families. You have great freedom to plan and organize your work and also influence and contribute to our development work. Part of the job involves collaborating around the patient both within Bup and with other actors such as schools, social services, and habilitation. To provide good care, we work according to standardized care programs.

Working hours are scheduled during the day, Monday to Friday, with some flexibility in working hours.

QUALIFICATIONS

We welcome you who have a recognized degree in social work and experience in child psychiatric work. You have good language skills in Swedish, both spoken and written. It is an advantage for the position to have basic psychotherapy training level 1, experience in eating disorder treatment, and/or if you are a licensed health and medical care social worker.

As a person, you are stable, initiative-taking, and enjoy working both individually and in teams. You have good communication and collaboration skills and are good at building relationships. Furthermore, you have the ability to gain a holistic perspective on our patients as there may be mixed issues both with the patient and in the environment. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.
