About us

SMIL is a user-controlled association that organizes personal assistance for people living in Malmö and surrounding areas, and is a cooperative with no profit motive!

Of course, SMIL has a collective agreement, which means that personal assistants have access to occupational pension. We offer wellness grants twice a year. We regularly organize various training sessions that you as a personal assistant will benefit from in your work.

We are an IfA-approved assistance provider with roots in the movement that once contributed to making personal assistance a possibility in Sweden. SMIL has both members and employed staff who have been with us since SMIL's early days! SMIL is authorized to provide assistance according to IVO.

About the position

We are now looking for a personal assistant by the hour for one of our members in Malmö.

Our member requires personal assistance around the clock, including some on-call hours at night. They have a great interest in football and enjoy walking around the city, fixing things in their apartment, and being active in everyday life.

As a personal assistant, you will work to:

• provide personal care
• manage medication
• cook and perform household chores
• create structure and security in everyday life
• support activities both at home and outside

Since the assistance user has impaired speech, it is important that you have a calm and attentive working style, as well as a good ability to understand weak speech and read needs.

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for someone who is secure, responsible, and has good collaboration skills. It is an advantage if you have experience working as a personal assistant, but the most important thing is that you are attentive, flexible, and want to make a difference in someone else's daily life.
