As a support pedagogue at Klockarverkstaden's daily operations, you will work with employment within Hässleholm Municipality's habilitation department.

Klockarverkstaden is a large daily operation with seven groups. In the long term, we aim for Klockarverkstaden to have two support pedagogues working with half of the facility each, but initially, we are now filling the vacancy left by our colleague who has moved on to other assignments within the organization. You will have the opportunity to help shape how the collaboration between the unit manager, method developer, and support pedagogue will look as this will be a new constellation of these parties. The premises are centrally located and directly adjacent to the local transport station.

With us, the support pedagogue actively works in the operations while also supervising your colleagues in pedagogical methods. Based on the individual’s needs and wishes, you provide support in daily activities from a pedagogical and professional perspective. Together with your colleagues, you work towards making the day meaningful and rich in content for the participants. You support and guide with personal care, meals, activities, and communication. An important part of the work is to stimulate and motivate participants to develop their own abilities. You will need to receive delegated tasks from licensed personnel.

As a support pedagogue, your responsibilities include closely collaborating with the manager and method developer to drive the development of everyday pedagogical work at the workplace. You implement and supervise pedagogical approaches. This includes developing pedagogical materials and supporting the workgroup towards a developing working method. Among other things, you do this by being coaching towards your colleagues during staff meetings. From a citizen perspective, you work with Hässleholm Municipality's values and create quality while promoting the residents' participation, self-determination, and integrity.

Furthermore, you will guide colleagues in writing and updating implementation plans. The assignment includes continuously updating yourself on pedagogical and evidence-based knowledge and informing and supervising the workgroup on this. You work to implement various types of alternative and augmentative communication in the work surrounding the participant.

Who You Are

To work as a support pedagogue with us, you should have:

Support pedagogue education from a vocational college or equivalent academic education that provides the same professional skills
Good knowledge of intellectual and neuropsychiatric disabilities
Very good knowledge of alternative and augmentative communication (AAC)
Very good knowledge of the most common pedagogical and conversation-based methods in LSS work (low-arousal approach, TEACCH, MI)
Good knowledge of legislation in the field
Good knowledge of Swedish in both speech and writing
Good computer skills
Driver's license for a manual transmission vehicle

In the role of support pedagogue, you show respect for the individual with a good approach and understanding of others' needs and feelings. Since you work closely with people in need of our services, it is important that you are calm and secure. You can take responsibility for your tasks, are flexible and proactive, and have a good ability to create good relationships and collaborate with others.

About Us

Within the care administration, we provide care, support, and assistance to people who are elderly, have a disability, or need home healthcare. We also offer health-promoting measures and support to those who care for and support a relative. Our goal is that those who need care and support in their daily lives can live as independently as possible.

Daily operations are a statutory right implemented under the Act on Support and Service for Certain Disabled Persons (LSS). LSS is a law that entitles individuals with extensive and permanent disabilities such as autism, autism spectrum disorders, intellectual disabilities, or acquired brain injury in adulthood. The Social Services Act (SoL) covers individuals with other disabilities who are also entitled to daily employment under this law. The assignment for daily operations is to offer employment, work training, and sensory stimulation to the group of people covered by the above laws, who are of working age, not participating in any education, and not employed.
