Coordinator for the Supervision and Operations Unit
Stockholm – our capital city with millions of dreams, expectations, and ambitions. We work for everyone living here today and in the future. We are now looking for you who want to think big, new, and differently with us – for the people of Stockholm.
The Traffic Office is responsible for maintaining and developing Stockholm's public spaces, ensuring they are safe, attractive, accessible, and sustainable. The mission includes everything from taking care of the existing urban environment to implementing strategic investment projects and planning for tomorrow's growing metropolis. To accomplish our mission, we are about 450 colleagues, mainly located in the newly renovated premises of the Technical Board House in Kungsholmen. Together, we ensure that Stockholm continues to be a leading city with sustainable transport solutions and vibrant environments, both today and in the future.
Welcome to us
The Supervision and Operations Unit is part of the Urban Environment Department, consisting of a total of 21 driven employees who perform important work directly linked to the everyday lives of citizens.
We are responsible for supervision and inspection of traffic arrangement plans, land leases, and market trading. Within the unit, there is also a bike service and responsibility for several city-wide operational agreements. In supervision and operations, we highly value quality, engagement, and collaboration.
We are looking for someone who, together with our employees in the unit, wants to influence and change the way we work within the areas of inspection and bike service. This is a role where you will independently drive and create improvements.
We offer
We highly value quality, engagement, and collaboration. We offer you a safe workplace where we help and support each other in our daily work and care for a good work environment. You will have the opportunity for personal development and participation and influence in the workplace.
We have flexible working hours and the possibility to exchange vacation day supplements for extra time off. Depending on tasks and operational needs, there is the opportunity to alternate between office work and working from home two days a week. Work environment and health are important to us. We offer wellness compensation, wellness hours, and the opportunity to participate in wellness activities. Read more about our benefits here.
Your role
As a coordinator, you will be responsible, together with the unit manager and a business manager, for keeping the unit's work together. Your tasks will include:
- Coordinating operations within inspection and bike service.
- Working with planning, statistics, and follow-up.
- Developing, leading, and implementing new working methods and processes.
- Creating and developing relationships internally and externally for increased collaboration on operational issues.
- Preparing presentations and materials for management and politics.
- Supporting the unit manager in planning, coordinating, directing, analyzing, investigating, and following up on the operational plan.
- Ordering clothing and service/maintenance for employees working with inspection and bike service.
- Other administrative tasks.
The coordination primarily occurs within the unit, but also with other units within the department and with other parts of the office for common issues and working methods. Within the unit, there is a business coordinator for the operational agreements with whom you will collaborate. You will be part of a network with other similar functions in the department.
