We are a I Ur och Skur preschool located in Järvastaden in Solna. We have 85 children distributed across six departments. Outdoor life and outdoor education are the foundation of our education. We actively work towards sustainable development through our systematic environmental efforts. We also work with the Mathematics Lift. We have our own chef and all meals are prepared on-site. We offer free meals, wellness grants, work clothes, training within I Ur och Skur, and other professional development.

We are now looking for an engaged preschool teacher for a temporary position, covering for someone on parental leave, for just over a year. You should be an active and flexible person who is not afraid to roll up your sleeves while having the ability to see the glass as half full. Start sometime in April-May, by agreement.

You will work together with two childcare workers in a department with 16 children, all born in 2022. We have age-homogeneous groups where the children stay in the same group throughout their preschool years. This allows you as an educator to follow your group until they graduate from preschool.

You should be someone who enjoys outdoor life and being in nature. Within I Ur och Skur, we work according to the four M's: Medupptäckande, Medupplevande, Medagerande, and Medundersökande. It is important that you see all the children and develop the activities based on their interests. Together with the children, we shape the activities. The pedagogical approach is based on outdoor life, outdoor education, and experience-based learning, working towards the goals in the Curriculum. The children discover, play, and experience with all their senses and their whole body. Practical experiences stimulate curiosity, self-esteem, knowledge, and understanding. Children play best where there are natural materials and vegetation; they need trees, sticks, cones, and spaces to run, play, and hide. The children get to try various outdoor activities and establish outdoor skills that they will benefit from throughout their lives. They also develop a close relationship with nature and gain knowledge and safety in being there, among other things through the activities of the Outdoor Association (Skogsknopp, Skogsknytte, Skogsmulle, Strövare, and Frilufsare).

The preschool teacher will be responsible for ensuring that each child's development and learning are continuously and systematically documented, followed up, and analyzed to evaluate how the preschool meets the children's opportunities to develop and learn in accordance with the goals and intentions of the curriculum. Additionally, the preschool teacher should contribute to realizing the objectives set by the management for the activities.

The preschool teacher should:

• be responsible for developing norms for work and interaction within their own group.

• participate in and, where applicable, be responsible for planning the educational activities and be responsible for reporting and evaluating the tasks and responsibilities delegated by the preschool manager.

• be responsible for the content, implementation, and design of development conversations.

• in consultation with the preschool manager, be responsible for the preparations, introduction, and onboarding of new children at the preschool/after-school center.

• stay well informed about developments within the area of activity.

• participate in planning for the purchase of educational materials and be responsible for the budget allocations assigned by the preschool manager.

• be responsible for the care of the preschool's educational materials.

• perform some cleaning tasks.

• carry out the tasks decided by the preschool manager/board and otherwise follow the preschool manager's guidance and directives.

• assist with other tasks that may arise within the preschool as needed.
