Project Manager for the Swedish Armed Forces Technical and Maintenance Office

About the Unit and Department

The Technical and Maintenance Office for Command Systems (TVK Ledsyst) is primarily located in Enköping. The unit's task is to take responsibility for the entire lifecycle within the IT area. The assignments are broad and can include feasibility studies, development, management, decommissioning, consolidation, and change projects. The department works through the entire technical chain, from end users via applications and middleware down to IT infrastructure. Realization methods include both in-house developed systems and standard systems or cloud services.

About the Position

You will be part of a team that provides support to projects, assignments, and line organizations. Your work will involve representing TVK Ledsyst in dialogue with the Armed Forces Headquarters in the area. As a project manager, you will work on:

  • Independently leading smaller projects and workgroups. Participating and supporting projects in other departments.
  • Conducting special investigations within projects.
  • Compiling information about projects and responding to inquiries from the organization.
  • Participating in quality assurance work and serving as an advisor in IT change matters.

Qualifications

  • Relevant university education or equivalent experience deemed equivalent by the employer.
  • Several years of experience in coordinating IT work, such as IT management leader, Change manager, or similar.
  • Understanding of the FM Management Control Model and IT processes.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to see the big picture without losing details.
  • Good ability to structure and plan work and take initiative.
  • Driving license B.

Meritorious

  • Relevant certifications related to the area of expertise.
  • Experience with ITIL, SAFe, and agile system development methods.
  • Experience with the Armed Forces' organization and existing support systems.
  • Experience with document management in larger organizations or authorities.

Personal Qualities

The work requires high integrity and initiative with good judgment. You are curious, meticulous, and unpretentious, as well as a good team player. You have the ability to express your opinions in speech and writing and are clear and communicative. Flexibility and adaptability are desirable qualities. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.

  • Employment type: Permanent, with a 6-month probationary period for those not already employed within the Armed Forces.
  • Employment rate: Full-time.
  • Work location: Enköping. Travel may occur in the position.
  • Start date: As soon as possible by agreement.
  • Salary: Individual salary setting applies.
