Our Organization

The management office of Region Uppsala has the role of governing, supporting, and coordinating the operations of Region Uppsala. The administration works to implement goals and assignments decided by the regional council as well as boards and committees. This is done in collaboration with other administrations, companies, and external partners. We aim to be a natural partner for core operations and facilitate their daily work.

We now need to strengthen the IT department with a technical project manager. If you are a person who is confident in taking a leading position, driven by seeing the organization develop, and enjoy a fast-paced environment, this is the role for you.

Your Assignment

As a technical project manager, your primary responsibility is to realize solutions based on the needs of the IT department. Your work is characterized by good collaboration, and you have many points of contact both internally within the IT department and other parts of Region Uppsala, as well as externally with suppliers.

Main Tasks with Expert Support:

• Ensure a well-functioning and reliable IT environment
• Act as a technical requirements setter and discuss technical solutions with external suppliers and clients
• Deliver project documents, such as Project Directives, Project Plans, Final Reports.
• Participate in procurements
• Identify needs and also drive work around these in project form
• Drive IT-related projects
• Work towards common working methods and good documentation
• Act as a bridge between operations and IT

Your Qualifications

We are looking for someone with a university degree in IT or equivalent experience gained in another way and at least three years of experience in a leading role in IT-related work.

You are proactive and enjoy collaborating with others to find the best way forward. Your goal is always to achieve good results. You understand that it requires both agility, communication skills, and respect for others' needs and perspectives. You can communicate effectively and clearly with clients at a technical level.

You are a self-driven person, attentive, and interested in technical solutions, and you thrive with clear objectives in your work.

Experience from working with larger IT solutions is an advantage. We will place great emphasis on personal suitability.

As a person, you are secure, self-aware, and have the ability to distinguish between the personal and the professional. You have well-founded and clear values and are guided by them in critical situations at work. You take responsibility for your tasks and drive your processes forward in a structured way where you also plan, organize, and prioritize your work effectively within set deadlines.

You make correct assessments and priorities, weigh complex information, and show judgment in actions and decision-making. You see the bigger picture, consider the broader perspective, and ensure the best for the entire organization.
