Are you an experienced Linux specialist with a passion for automation and advanced IT infrastructure? We are looking for someone who wants to take a key role in modernizing and developing our Linux environments. With a focus on lifecycle management, system migrations, and automation, you will work with technologies such as Puppet, Red Hat, and MariaDB. If you also have leadership skills and thrive in a dynamic work environment, this is the opportunity for you!

You will work as one of the technical system administrators in the Linux team. Tasks include handling incidents, both ongoing (e.g., incidents via the ticketing system) and more comprehensive activities sourced from Jira.

We are also looking for someone who can fill the role of a Team Leader part-time.

The main priority is to staff the upcoming lifecycle management project. Examples of tasks include:

• Migration of services from Red Hat 7 servers to Red Hat 9, including preparing the target environment with disk and network configurations, as well as Puppet and Satellite management.
• Migration of databases from an old database host (MariaDB) to a new MariaDB host.
• Migration of websites and application servers (Apache, PHP, Java, Spring Boot) from old systems to new solutions.
• Modernization of Puppet configurations and its automations.
• Modernization of our Satellite system.

Profile Requirements:

• Minimum of 10 years of experience in the IT industry.
• Leadership experience.
• At least 5 years of practical work experience with Linux infrastructure in large-scale operational environments, including experience with RHEL 7, 8, and 9.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in Puppet configuration and automation.
• Experience in managing Satellite environments working with VMware environments.
• Ability to write and maintain shell scripts for automation.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with Satellite and Rundeck.
• Experience with ITIL and change request writing.
• Knowledge in GIT, Bash, Tomcat/Apache.
• Experience in database management like MariaDB, DB2, or MySQL.
• Knowledge in PHP and JVM (Java Virtual Machine).

You have a positive attitude and are motivated to deliver high-quality solutions in a dynamic and rapidly changing environment. Fluent Swedish and English, both spoken and written, are required.
