About the Unit
The System Management Unit is the Swedish Armed Forces' organization for the management of IT systems, applications, and master data. The unit's task is to maintain and develop secure and robust IT systems to support the operational capability of the Armed Forces. The System Management Unit is an interesting and dynamic operation that offers a good working environment with engaged employees.
We are looking for someone who wants to work with the whole process, from requirements specification together with the business to integration with system developers, and further to production deployment together with the operations organization. As a specialist in your field, you will support and drive the work in all phases, either independently or together with others depending on the scope and area of the task.
As a solution architect, you will participate in the development of new systems and functions, but a significant focus will be on further developing and managing already established systems.
We expect you to have experience in integration or development in close collaboration with the operations and management organization that handles the systems.
The section works both nationally and internationally, and depending on the area you operate in, you may eventually represent the Armed Forces in national and/or international working groups.

Main Responsibilities
- Continuously develop network solutions for both WAN and LAN
- Participate in preparations and technical investigations regarding network infrastructure solutions
- Conduct ongoing regulatory analyses (e.g., laws, internal regulations of the Armed Forces, etc.) related to the network area
- As a technical expert, support the business in developing their daily work regarding network infrastructure
- Participate in development work, individually or together with others in the section or various system suppliers
- Support the section's other managers
- Participate in joint working groups related to information management as needed
- Participate in international working groups and initiatives as needed
REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications
- Documented experience in technical management or development within the network infrastructure area
- Relevant education or equivalent acquired knowledge
- Proficient in English in both written and spoken form
- Driver's license B

DESIRABLE
- Documented experience with various network solutions at an enterprise level
- Good experience with network solutions in an on-prem context
- Experience in system development with Linux as a foundation
- Familiarity with the Armed Forces' signal protection systems and security components
- Good ability to understand the details regarding the implementation of technical interfaces
- Experience in automation
- Multiple programming languages
- Work experience from IT management or IT development, preferably from a government agency or larger organization
- Accustomed to working both in groups and independently towards set goals and timelines
