Assignment Description and Requirements

We are looking for a consultant for one of our clients, who will, together with internal resources, carry out work aimed at strengthening the institution's capabilities in AI and supporting the transition they are facing regarding AI. The assignment may vary within the subject depending on decisions made within the organization, and it will be carried out iteratively and be agile in nature.

You are expected to contribute to creating engagement within the organization on how AI and digitalization can be utilized in the areas of operation. Act as the spider in the web by conducting activities, coordinating, and providing support on issues related to the IT director's plan for managing AI at the university regarding, for example:

• Communication and support initiatives – Support the organization internally through a coaching approach and act as a sounding board for the operations. Inspire and help the organization explore the possibilities of AI.

• Guidelines and directives – for example, support the Security Department in developing guidelines and working methods following the AI regulation.

• Methodology and support for the organization – Develop systematic methods and supportive working practices that promote innovation and exploration of AI in the organization. This may involve enabling testing and evaluation of AI tools based on, among other things, the AI regulation, GDPR, and data security.

• Training and workshops – Coordinate the implementation of courses and workshops in areas such as prompt engineering and other AI-related training.

• Mapping – Map and evaluate AI tools within education, research, administration, and infrastructure by involving the relevant operations within the university.

• Coordination and anchoring – Capture and anchor needs related to AI within the university administration and prepare decision support for the continued processing of matters.

MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS:

• Project manager with at least 7 years of experience in IT and digitalization/AI.

• Experience and ability to work cross-functionally with various teams and experts from operations and IT.

• Good experience in communication with target groups at various levels.

• Good experience in developing and implementing working methods and processes.

• Experience in coordinating and conducting training initiatives in the field of digitalization, such as courses and workshops.

• Academic degree deemed relevant for the assignment.

• Basic knowledge of AI.

• A coaching approach.

• 5 years of experience from public administration and/or authority, preferably in universities and colleges.

• Good knowledge of information gathering and anchoring in the organization.

• Structured, systematic, and good analytical skills.

PREFERABLE REQUIREMENTS:

• Understanding of the AI regulation and its implications for authorities.

• Knowledge of business analysis.

• Preferable with knowledge of prompt engineering and other specific AI areas such as machine learning and/or RPA, AI assistants, and agents.

The client will place great emphasis on the suitability of candidates. As a person, we want the consultant to be curious and innovative, have strategic ability, and be able to see the big picture. The consultant should be attentive and relationship-building as the assignment involves collaborating with many stakeholders. A good communicative ability, both in speech and writing in English, is required.

Scope: 100%

Period: 2025-02-03 to 2025-06-30, unless another start date is agreed upon, and thereafter with the possibility of extension for a total of 4 months. The contract runs for 5 months regardless of the start date with the possibility of 2 + 2 months extension.

Location: Uppsala

Possibility for remote work exists after agreement with the client.
